Esta es una carta extra ya que hemos decidido poner aquí a la venta, las entradas para la gira en otoño por el Reino Unido antes de lo que habíamos planeado en un principio, y esto os dará la oportunidad de conseguir las entradas antes.

DIRE STRAITS –GIRA DE OTOÑO EN EL REINO UNIDO –DETALLES RESERVAR

Tal y como vais a ver en la lista inferior, hemos tenido que cambiar algunas fechas y hemos tenido que cambiar algunos locales pequeños ya que la producción en la carretera es tan grande, que no cabíamos en algunos de ellos! Las fechas irlandesas que en un principio estaban programadas para finales de Diciembre/principios de Enero 1986, han sido pospuestas y el grupo va a intentar visitarla en verano 1986.

NOTICIAS ADICIONALES

Puede que hayáis oído en la radio o la televisión (o haberlo leído en los periódicos) sobre el concierto por el Sida el 13 de Julio en Wembley.

Muchos de vosotros habéis escrito preguntando como es posible que Dire Straits pueda aparecer en este concierto mientras que tienen que tocar en Wembley Arena esa misma noche. Bien –si que van a aparecer. Cada grupo tocará unos 20 minutos y lo hemos organizado de tal forma que hagan el soundcheck en Arena, que crucen al Estadio que toquen sobre las 6 de la tarde en el concierto y volver rápidamente para tocar en su propio concierto! Estoy segura de que va a ser un caos pero es por una buena causa, y alcanzará mucho dinero para Etiopia, con lo que sentimos que teníamos el deber de colaborar. Si no vais al concierto de Dire Straits esa noche, deberíais estar pendientes de la televisión ya que se televisará en directo (incluso por satélite al resto del mundo y llegará a un billón de personas!)

Si vais al concierto de los Straits esa noche en Wembley, os aviso que el tráfico será tremendo, y deberíais llegar pronto. Lo mismo os digo para el 6 de Julio cuando Bruce Springsteen va a tocar en Wembley Stadium. Su concierto es un poco antes, y no debería haber tanto problema, pero aún así tenerlo en cuenta (también para encontrar aparcamiento!). Toda la banda y nosotros iremos al concierto de Springsteen, por lo menos la primera parte del concierto, antes de volver al Arena.

This is an extra newsletter as we have decided to put the tickets for the UK autumn tour on sale earlier than we planned originally, and this will give you a chance to get in early with your applications.
DIRE STRAITS - AUTUMN UK TOUR - BOOKING DETAILS
As you will see from the list below, we've had to change some of the dates and take out some of the smaller halls as we now have such a huge production on the road we couldn't fit it in to some of them! The Irish dates which were to take place at the very end of December/beginning of January 1986, have been postponed and the group are going to try and visit in the summer of 1986.

ADDITIONAL NEWS
You may have heard on the radio or TV (or read in the papers) about the big Band Aid concert on July 13th at Wembley Stadium.
Quite a lot of you have written in to ask how Dire Straits can possibly be appearing at this as they are playing at Wembley Arena that night. Well - they are appearing there. Each band does about 20 minutes, and we have managed to work things out so that they can soundcheck at the Arena, then dash across to the Stadium and play there at about 6.00pm, then dash back again for their own gig! I'm sure it will be totally chaotic, but it's for a really good cause, and will raise masses of money for Ethiopia, so we felt that we must try and do it. If you are not attending the Dire Straits show that night, you should stay by the TV as the Band Aid show is being televised live (and also satellited around the world to an estimated one-billion people!).
If you are attending the Straits gig at Wembley that night, I should warn you that traffic will be very heavy indeed, and you should make an early start. The same applies on July 6th when Bruce Springsteen is playing at Wembley Stadium. His show is an early one, and it shouldn't be quite such a problem, but you should still allow plenty of time (also for finding somewhere to park!). All of the band and us will be going to see Springsteen, at least for the first part of his show, before going back over to the Arena.
