¿Qué es el ratio? / What's the ratio?
El ratio es la relación o cociente entre la cantidad de bytes que has subido y bajado durante tu actividad en los torrents de este tracker.
Por ejemplo, si has subido 100 MB y has bajado 200 MB, tu ratio será 100/200 = 0.5
Mientras navegas por el tracker, tu ratio está siempre visible en la parte superior derecha de la pantalla. Otros usuarios también pueden ver tu ratio en cualquier momento.
El ratio es muy importante para comprobar si eres solidario ayudando a otros usuarios a descargar los torrents igual que otros te han ayudado a tí. Existen personas que cierran los torrents nada más descargados o limitan excesivamente la velocidad de subida. A estas personas se les llama "leechs" o "sanguijuelas", y su actividad es muy perjudicial para el resto de usuarios. El sistema de ratio está pensado para evitar que las sanguijuelas se aprovechen de los demás.
Lo ideal y más cómodo para todos es que no hiciera falta el control del ratio. Sin embargo, está comprobado que si no se controla ésto, el rendimiento y tiempo de vida de los torrents se resiente mucho.

The ratio is the quotient between your uploaded and downloaded data on the torrents from this tracker.
For instance, if you uploaded 100 MB and downloaded 200 MB your ratio is: 100/200 = 0.5
Your ratio is always visible on the top right corner of the screen while browsing on the tracker. Other users also can see your ratio.
The ratio is important to avoid "leechs" to harm the activity of the other users. Is known that the torrents performance is damaged if the tracker don't monitor users' ratio.

El mínimo ratio establecido en este tracker es de 0.25. Esto significa que estás obligado a mantener tu ratio por encima de esa cantidad en todo momento.
El mecanismo empieza a controlar a partir de que has descargado tus primeros 10 GB, de manera que tienes margen suficiente para estabilizar tu ratio antes de llegar a esa cantidad descargada.
A partir de ese momento, el tracker controlará tu ratio, y cada vez que baje de 0.25 te enviará un aviso por mensaje privado y también por email.
Cuando recibes el aviso, se te otorga un crédito de 5 GB adicionales de descarga, de manera que tengas margen para regularizar tu situación. No hay límite de tiempo, puedes tardar todo lo que necesites, mientras no agotes los 5 GB de crédito
Cuando tu ratio vuelva a subir, el aviso será retirado y podrás continuar con normalidad.
Si haces caso omiso del aviso y agotas el crédito de 5 GB, tu cuenta será desactivada y no podrás volver a entrar en el tracker. Entendemos que el sistema es lo suficientemente flexible y los márgenes amplios, para darnos cuenta de que aquel cuya cuenta ha sido desactivada no tiene excusa para pedir una reactivación.

The minimum ratio in this tracker is 0.25.
The system will begin monitoring your ratio when you download your first 10 GB.
When your ratio is lower that 0.25 and you downloaded more that 5 GB, you will receive a warning by private message and also by email.
When the warning is issued, the system give you a credit of 5 GB extra to download. There's no time limit, you can take all the time needed to raise your ratio, but don't use up your credit, or your account will be banned.
We think that the system is flexible enough to let anyone the chance to raise the ratio. So reactivation requests will not be accepted by general rule.
Mi ratio ha bajado ¿Cómo hago para aumentarlo? / My ratio is too low. What can I do to raise it?
Si tu ratio ha descendido, tienes varias formas de aumentarlo:
- Mantén abiertos los torrents que descargaste y tengas todavía en el disco duro. Esto sirve mientas esos torrents tengan clientes descargando aún.
- Limita la velocidad de bajada en tu programa cliente. Las conexiones generalmente tienen el ancho de banda de bajada mucho más grande que el de subida. Esto significa que no vas a subir el ratio, más bien empeorarlo, si continúas bajando al máximo ritmo.
- Sube nuevos torrents. Es la opción mejor para aumentar el ratio rápidamente. Sube material nuevo o que ya haya desaparecido del tracker. No subas nada que ya esté presente. No olvides leer antes las reglas sobre material permitido y formatos aceptados.

If your ratio is too low, there're some methods to raise it:
- Keep the torrents opened while they're in your hard disk. It's only useful if there're clients leeching those torrents.
- Limit your download speed in your client configuration. Downstream bandwidth is usually bigger than upload on most connections, so your ratio will become lower and lower if you keep downloading at top speed.
- Upload your own torrents. It's the best method to raise your ratio quickly. Please don't upload stuff already on the tracker. Read the rules about suitable contents and formats.
Cómo subir un torrent / How to upload a torrent
Antes que nada, asegurate de que lo que vas a subir cumple todas las normas,
tanto del contenido, formatos, etc. También busca en el tracker por si ya estuviera
subido. No se admiten duplicados. Por favor, lee las normas antes de continuar.
En primer lugar necesitas alguna utilidad para crear el fichero ".torrent"
(que contendrá la información de los ficheros que componen el CD o DVD
que quieres subir). El propio programa cliente con el que se descargas
los torrents seguramente también incorpore esa utilidad. Si no es así,
existe un programa genérico llamado
MakeTorrent.
Al crear los Torrents asegurate de especificar la "Announce URL" de este tracker:

NOTA: Asegurate que la carpeta a partir de la cual creas el torrent tenga un nombre descriptivo (nunca algo genrico como "DS92"). Sobre todo en el caso de los DVD ten cuidado que la carpeta
VIDEO_TS está includa dentro de otra, para que no sea la "raíz" del torrent.
Esto es muy importante. Cualquier VIDEO_TS "desnuda" será borrada por los administradores para evitar problemas a los usuarios (ya que si hay varios torrents que tengan una carpeta llamada VIDEO_TS como raíz, pueden sobreescribirse unos a otros).
Es conveniente que incluyas un archivo TXT con información sobre lo que estás
subiendo (en especial, el lugar del concierto, la fecha y la lista de temas),
que puedes crear con cualquier editor (por ejemplo, el Bloc de Notas). El formato PDF
también es válido, así como los archivos de imagen de las carátulas, por ejemplo.
Pero no incluyas otros tipos de archivos DOC, HTML, EXE, etc.
NOTA: Hay un fichero oculto que a veces se cuela en los torrents y da muchos problemas.
Se trata del "Thumbs.db". Es un fichero del sistema Windows que nunca debe incluirse
en el torrent, porque hará que siempre quede al 99%. Mira bien al crear el torrent que no se haya incluido. Si no consigues eliminarlo,
pide ayuda a los moderadores. Tu torrent será borrado si incluye el Thumbs.db.
Una vez tengas creado el fichero Torrent, sólo tienes que pulsar en "Subir un torrent",
dentro del cuadro superior de navegación de esta web,
rellenar todos los datos que se te solicitan y subir los dos ficheros requeridos mediante
los botones de "Examinar".
Has de subir el Torrent que has creado y el fichero TXT.
Procura no poner la misma información en el cuadro de descripción y en el fichero TXT,
porque aparecería dos veces en la página del torrent.
Una vez hayas subido el torrent, olvidate del fichero que creaste y baja tu propia
copia del tracker, usando el enlace que se te mostrará. Solo así te aseguras que el
tracker te va a admitir como seed.
Para convertirte en seed, abre el torrent recién descargado con tu programa cliente,
igual que si fueras a descargarlo. Indica como carpeta de descarga la misma donde ya
tienes los archivos originales. El programa chequeará hasta el 100% y luego se pondrá
como seed.
En el momento que te hayas establecido como seed, el torrent pasará a ser visible en
la página principal. Esa es la prueba de que todo es correcto.

First, real all the rules about contents, formats, etc. Duplicates are not allowed, so you must search
the tracker before uploading a show.
The first step is to create a ".torrent" file with information about the torrent you want to upload. Torrent
clients usually include such utility, and there's also a generic one named
MakeTorrent.
You must specify the tracker's "announce URL", that is:
http://tracker.knopflertk.net/announce.php
IMPORTANT: The files you upload must be in a folder with a descriptive name. Generic names like "DS92" are not good.
This is important with DVD files. The VIDEO_TS folder must be included into a descriptive folder. Any "naked" VIDEO_TS
will be deleted by the moderators, because will create troubles to users.
Make a TXT file (with Notepad, for instance) with all the info about venue, date, setlist, etc. You can also include
PDF files and image files with covers, etc. Please do not include other files like DOC, HTML, EXE, etc.
NOTE: Theres a hidden file on Windows systems, named "Thumbs.db", that must not be included in torrents. It will make
that your torrent stuck on 99% forever. Be sure that you're not including this one. If you can't delete it,
ask the moderators for help.
When you have the ".torrent" file, click on "Upload torrent" on the site menu. Fill in all the info requested, and pick
the torrent and info files. When the torrent is uploaded, you must delete the original ".torrent" you created, and download
a fresh copy from the tracker, using the link provided. The tracker will not accept you as seed if you don't follow
these steps. When you have it, open with your client program, and select the folder where you have the original
files. It will check until 100% and start seeding. Your torrent then will appear in the main page.
Abrir semilla en un torrent que ya está en el tracker / Open a seed on a torrent already on the tracker
Para unirte a un torrent que ya esté funcionando:
1) Asegurate de que tienes exactamente el mismo conjunto de archivos que forman el torrent,
sin que se haya modificado ni el contenido ni los nombres de archivo. Si los tenías aún en el
disco duro sin modificar, pasa al punto 2.
Si los borraste del disco duro y vas a recuperarlo de una copia, ten en cuenta que:
- Si es una copia desde un CD de audio, casi va a ser imposible reconstruir los archivos FLAC
idénticos, ya que los CDs de audio no contienen comprobación de errores. si es un CD
de datos (ISO), sí podrás hacerlo.
- Si es un DVD, no utilices programas de ripeo, sino copia la carpeta VIDEO_TS directamente
de la unidad.
2) Baja el archivo ".torrent" del tracker, y abrelo con tu programa cliente. El programa
pensará que quieres descargar, y te preguntará en qué ubicación. Selecciona como carpeta de
descarga aquella donde ya tienes los archivos. Si lo haces correctamente, el programa
se dará cuenta de que ya están y chequeará si están correctos. El chequeo debería llegar
al 100% y se pondrá ya como semilla. A veces se quedará al 99%, pero no hay problema siempre
que haya otras semillas de las que puedas obtener ese 1% que falta.
Si al seleccionar la carpeta de descarga, el torrent se queda al 0% y se pone a descargar,
eliminalo y vuelve a intentarlo. Seguramente no has seleccionado la carpeta correctamente.

To join with a torrent already on the tracker:
1) Be sure that the names and contents of the files you originally downloaded had not been
modified in any form. If you already have them unmodified in your hard disk, go to step 2.
If you deleted them from the hard disk and want to restore from a copy, keep in mind that:
- If you want to restore from an Audio CD, you probably will not be able to rebuild the
FLAC files exactly, because such discs do not have error checking. On other way, if the files
are in a data CD (ISO format), there's no problem.
- If it's a DVD, don't user ripping programs, but simply copy the entire VIDEO_TS folder
directly from the drive.
2) Download the ".torrent" file from the tracker and open it with your client as usually.
It will think that you're trying to donwload, and ask you for a location. Select the
folder where you already have the files. The client will check them and hopefully go into
100% and start seeding. If it stops at 99% there's no problem if there're other seeds
from who you can get the remaining 1%. If the client stays at 0% and start downloading,
remove the torrent and try again. You probably didn't selected the right folder.
¿Puedo tener varias cuentas de usuario? / Can I have more than one account?
No debes tener más de una cuenta de usuario. Eso es desleal con el resto de usuarios, y si lo haces podemos detectarlo y serías expulsado.
Por supuesto, si tu cuenta es desactivada por no mantener el ratio u otro motivo, bajo ningún concepto se te permitirá que abras otra. Pero sí puedes volver a abrirla si tu cuenta se cerró por inactividad.
Si tienes más de un ordenador, no es necesario que tengas varias cuentas. Puedes subir o bajar desde cuantos sitios quieras simultáneamente. Lo único que no puedes hacer es bajar el mismo torrent desde varios sitios a la vez.

You can't have more than one account. It's unfair with the rest of users. If you do so, we will detect it and you will be banned.
If your account was banned, you can't open another. But, otherwise, if your account was closed by inactivity, you can do so.
If you have more than one computer, there's no reason to have several accounts. You can seed or leech from various computers at a time. The only thing you can't do is to download the same torrent from two different locations at a time.
